Buddy our black Labrador joined us in July last year, I was sceptical about getting a dog, the walking, chewing up things, clearing up mess and the commitment. Buddy has given our family something very special and we have all grown incredibly attached to Buddy, He is always very excited to see us, he doesn’t care what our status is, he just wants to be where you are. He is great company for my youngest daughter and she has really enjoyed having him around.
It has made me start to think how and if I could introduce this into my therapy work with clients and if they could benefit from animal therapy. Going forward this is something I am going to look into more. Watch this space…
